The Football Players Association of India, Indian Football Awards 2021-2022 along with the AGM of the association 2020-2021, was held at The Park Hotel in Kolkata on the 15th of June 2022.
A press conference was held at the hotel for the media where representatives from different organizations were invited to attend the event. After the press release the media interviewed the association and the awardees. This was followed by the Annual General Meeting.
The AGM was held right before the event where our General Manager Mr. Cyrus Confectioner discussed all the technical aspects of the Association along with the Members of the Board. The Awards took place post the meeting where the players were awarded for the year 2021-2022. The players were awarded according to the number of votes they received from their fellow colleagues in the I league and the ISL. The voting was conducted online as per the relevant COVID-19 protocols which the players had to follow.
This was the first time Women Players were awarded by the Football Players Association of India. The voting process was same as the Men’s, the players voted based on the performance in the just concluded short season. The winner of the Awards received the maximum number of votes from their fellow Players.

We once again want to congratulate all the players, teams and coaches for their excellent performance and hard work. All those who could not be present to receive their awards sent a heartfelt video message to thank all those who voted for them. FPAI also felicitated a few former stalwarts of Indian football Jamshed Nassiri and Bhaskar Ganguly, and we were elated to have Bhaskar Ganguly with us. The Captain of the Indian National Men’s Team Sunil Chettri and the Former President of the Football Players Association of India Bhaichung Bhutia graced the event with the presence. Current President Renedy Singh and few other esteemed Board Members were also present at the event. They congratulated and presented the awards to the winners. The awards night came to an end with a dinner and meet and greet between players filled with stories and laughter.
Due to the ongoing pandemic scenario the event had to be be kept indoors while following all the Covid precautions. We were grateful to all the members and players who could join us for the event and all also to those who sent us their best wishes.
