Latest signing of Dinamo Zagreb Kiran Pisda from Chattisgarh and MK Kashmina from Manipur

Latest signing of Dinamo Zagreb are India’s very own, Kiran Pisda from Chattisgarh and MK Kashmina from Manipur have fulfilled their dreams by signing with this Croatia Club and making a debut in their league games.

Their selection was made possible through the 'Women in Sports Elite Football Trials, second edition, organised by Women in Sports in collaboration with the AMPL Foundation and Football Players’ Association of India. Through their performance in the camp both Kiran and Kashmina impressed a number of coaches to make their mark internationally.

Former Sethu Fc and Kerala Blasters player Kiran Pisda and ex-Gokulam and Indian national team player M K Kashmina attracted the selection committee at WFC Dinamo Zagreb.

In a recent exchange with MK Kashmina about how she feels about playing in Croatia, she says

“This is literally a dream come true for me. I have worked hard for this opportunity and was determined to achieve my goal, I am grateful for the club scouting me and believing in my hardwork and I will continue to do my best. Playing in Europe has always been my aspiration, and I am eager to gain valuable experience at the highest level. I look forward to embarking on this journey with the team.”

24 years old, midfielder M. K. Kashmina has already achieved a number of milestones in her football career. Her first tournament was the Subroto Cup in Delhi, where she represented Manipur in 2012. In 2017, Kashmina played a major role in Eastern Sporting Union’s win, making them the Indian Women’s League championship on February 14.

Her love and dedication to the sport led to her selection to represent Manipur in the 36th National Games held in Gujarat from October 1 to 11, 2022. Most recently, in 2023, she showcased her skills while playing for Gokulam Kerala FC in the Indian Women’s League, who later on became Champions of the Indian Women’s League. Furthermore, Kashmina’s achievements also extend to internationally, where she represented India at the U20 level and currently is a regular in the national women’s team.

While speaking to Kiran, she mentioned how she feels about joining the club

“I am thrilled to join WFC Dinamo Zagreb and am committed to giving my best for the club. The confidence gained from my domestic performances will drive me to excel on this international platform.

The club has been really welcoming to the both of us and they are very kind and we love the atmosphere the club has, we are really enjoying our experience here.”

Kiran Pisda, a 22-year-old forward, who made it to the limelight as the first player from Chhattisgarh to play for the Indian senior national team. Her journey to this significant milestone began with her appearances for Raipur in various state league tournaments and representing Chhattisgarh in national leagues. In 2022, Kiran’s skills and hardwork caught the attention of Kerala Blasters FC, leading to her to sign with their newly launched women’s team. In 2023, she continued to showcase her skills by joining Madurai Club Sethu FC.

Both Kiran and Kashmina will be joining Jyoti Chauhan who has been a part of this Team since the last season and has recently renewed her contract with the club.

Their journey to ŽNK Dinamo Zagreb is not just their own; it’s a ray of light and inspiration for aspiring female footballers across India, who wish to make a career not just in Indian Leagues but internationally too.
